1. Launcher woes - greyed out 'Play'-button - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
I get the same problem - it's just a greyed out play button (and the bar at bottom of the launcher never goes yellow). Try running your Eve application as Administrator. That seemed to work for me... Could be an authorisation issue.
